Convert videos to your iPod

Have you ever wanted to keep a video you find on the web and play it on your iPod?

If so, you'll enjoy Cosmopod. This effective little plugin lets you download and convert web videos in seconds.

The addon supports all sorts of web formats, including FLV and Divx and can convert them into high quality iPod-ready videos thanks to H. 264 and MPEG4 encoding.

You can even drag and drop videos from your Mac and convert them with Cosmopod.

The plugin features an embedded player, so you can preview your encoded video and make sure it's what you want and that the quality is OK.

Although it's a shame that Cosmopod only works with Safari, the plugin integrates perfectly with the Apple browser, thanks to a cleverly designed interface.

You can also activate Growl support to get notified when conversions are finished.

Cosmopod is a little Safari plugin that will allow you to download any encode any web video to an iPod ready format.

CosmoPod conflict with Safari. Hello,Some months ago I had problems with the conflict between the CosmoPod plugin and Safari. I was able to solve the problem by deleting CosmoPod. I wrote to you at the time and asked if you would let me know when this matter had been resolved so that I could re install the CosmoPod plugin which I have already paid for.As yet I have heard nothing and I am writing to enquire whether the problem has in fact been resolved.I look forward to your reply.Regards,Dennis - (email - dtopping@telefonica.net)

CosmoPod doesn't work on Lion for Mac. It used to work GREAT. Now it crashes Safari (ever since I updated to Lion (Mac OS X 10.7.2 with Safari 5.1.1). Any ideas?

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
